Do you follow a plant-based diet but your significant other eats meat? Are you a vegan and aren’t quite sure how to face a dating scene full of omnivores? Maybe you’re an omnivore living with a vegan and you’re still trying to figure out the difference between tofu and tempeh? The Lusty Vegan is here to save the day!
The Lusty Vegan: A Cookbook and Relationship Manifesto for Vegans and the People Who Love Them by Ayindé Howell and Zoë Eisenberg pairs fabulous recipes with relationship advice to help you win at inter-palate partnering. Here you’ll find personal stories and tips for peaceful co-existence when one partner wants a cheeseburger and the other wants a tempeh slider.
Nationally known chef Ayinde Howell has crafted 80 delicious recipes that both vegans and omnivores can enjoy together, including:
- Classic Cloud-Nine Pancakes
- Tuscan 12-Vegetable Soup with Savory Biscuits
- Habanero Jackfruit Fajitas
- Crispy Spring Rolls
- Cherry Cobbler with Cacao Nibs
Ayinde and Zoe are longtime vegans, but they have something else in common: neither has ever dated another vegan. After comparing notes, they realized the need for a manifesto to help vegans and omnivores navigate their cross-cuisine love life. The book shares tips—both culinary and romantic—for vegans who want to satisfy the appetites of their omnivorous counterpart, and for non-vegans who want to impress their plant-based partners.
