Nut Day

Today is National Nut Day! While we’re not really sure how the “holiday” actually started, it’s one day that we can really get behind! Nuts are packed with nutrients, making them a great addition to healthy diet. Nuts nut butters are loaded with  protein, calcium,  potassium, essential fatty acids, fiber, Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, folate, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, selenium, iron, zinc, and magnesium. Studies have shown that nuts can help with stress reduction, cancer prevention, improved brain health and protection against heart disease. A lower risk of diabetes and high blood pressure has also been seen in people who added nuts to their diet on a regular basis.
